By the Direction of the Youth, Pathfinders, and Adventurers Department, Quebec Conference
On June 1st, the Youth Ministries Department of the federation pulsed with the energy of an exceptional sports day, bringing together over 700 young people and more than a hundred volunteers at the Promutuel Sports Complex in Trois-Rivières. Under the inspiring theme **“Move with Faith,”** this event offered a unique opportunity to strengthen the sense of belonging to the JA group and the Club Ministries, while promoting openness and friendliness among participants of all ages.
The program featured dynamic disciplines such as volleyball, soccer, dodgeball, track and field, table tennis, and many other sports activities—all designed to encourage teamwork, fair play, and camaraderie.
This day allowed young people to share an unforgettable recreational moment, break isolation, and open their hearts to others, regardless of age group. The photos and testimonials speak volumes about the success of this event, driven by the energy and commitment of all participants. A heartfelt thank you to each young person and volunteer who helped make this day a true success, leaving behind precious memories and renewed motivation to keep moving with faith and passion.
In conclusion, one thing is clear: “All participants, from the youngest to the oldest, unanimously ask—WHEN is the next edition?”
Here are a few testimonies
The sports day held in Trois-Rivières was a special moment where young and old alike were able to live out their Christian faith in a spirit of fellowship. Indeed, this sports day created a space where children, teens, youth, and adults could gather, interact, and strengthen social bonds, reflecting the importance of community in Christian faith. Participants experienced the joy of getting involved, pushing themselves, and competing toward a common goal: to have fun fully and healthily.
When children, teens, youth, and adults from Trois-Rivières, Montreal, Drummondville, Laurier, Gatineau, and Quebec play together, their very participation bears witness to the need for one another in order to move forward together in the same direction. Their involvement is what truly brought this beautiful day to life.
And what about the programming? It catered to all age groups and all tastes, infused with Christian values such as community, respect, fair play, integrity, team spirit, and brotherhood. The organizers clearly aimed, through this sports-centered approach, to provide a healthy environment conducive to the growth of each individual—physically, morally, mentally, and spiritually.
Practicing sports in a community setting, as was the case on June 1st, can open the way to Christ where He cannot be directly proclaimed. During this Grand Quebec Sports Day, children, teens, youth, and adults were able to invite their friends, neighbors, and colleagues to join in. Our annual sports day can truly be a vehicle for mission, because every opportunity is a good one to share the message of Christ with others.
Our community’s annual sports day is a must. You have to experience it to believe it. To participate is to embrace it. A big thank you to our God and to all who worked hard to make this day one of joy and sharing. Your dedication and commitment made this day unforgettable. May the Lord be praised at all times, and may He continue to inspire us so that we become a strong and united community to His greater glory.

On June 1 2025, the Norwood Bright Star AYMT Department had the pleasure of attending the Sports Day hosted by the Quebec Conference.
The Adventurers had a blast, playing, running, dancing and making new friends. The Youths and Pathfinders were ecstatic to play Volleyball and Basketball against some very competitive teams. They played against friends and against strangers who became friends by the end of the day.
We ended the day by playing old school independent games amongst ourselves and we had a blast. It was a great experience and it was nice being able to show our youths that they are not alone and that they belong to something much bigger.

From children to senior members, the Montreal Filipino SDA church thoroughly enjoyed the first ever Québec conference sports day! There were several activities enjoyed in the big Trois-Rivières facility like: basketball, soccer, volleyball, and track. The young enjoyed physical activity, making new friends, and getting out of the city. Meanwhile, the elderly delighted in the gathering of all 58 Québec churches. It filled the seniors with nostalgia, reminding them of similar assemblies that were more common in their younger years, and hope the next generations can experience that kind of fellowship too. For the first time, “it’s a fantastic start” says one of our members. And we hope to “lengthen the time” says a mother. Our church is eager for following events, hopeful for improvements, and thankful for the wonderful day.

I received a lot of very positive feedback from my youth who appreciated the opportunity to meet so many other Adventist youth from across Québec.
They felt that things were a bit slow to start. They would have preferred if the forms had been filled out in advance, perhaps through an electronic method.
Also, at the beginning, it took some time for the sports activities to get going. But once they started, everything ran smoothly, and they really enjoyed all the sports that were offered.
They would love to have more events like this, but with better organization at the start.

The youth sports day organized by the Youth Department was a beautiful event! There were several challenges we, as organizers, had to face, but the Lord provided a solution for each one. When choosing the location, it was noted that Trois-Rivières was a bit far and that many young people might not be able to make it. But God brought over 700 participants—far more than we had anticipated.
The weather that day forced several activities indoors into a much smaller space, yet the fun was still present. For every aspect we had to manage, the Lord blessed our efforts.
