From May 23 to 25, the Seventh-day Adventist Church – Quebec Conference, in collaboration with the Institute of World Mission, hosted a transformative training weekend on cultural diversity at the Holiday Inn in Longueuil.
In a province like Quebec, where a rich tapestry of cultures and backgrounds coexists, this gathering offered participants the opportunity to reflect deeply on mission work in a multicultural context. Back by popular demand, the Institute of World Mission team led the sessions with warmth, clarity, and insight.
The participants had the privilege of receiving training from passionate professionals: : Oscar Osindo, PhD Director, Institute of Word Mission and Ronald Kuhn, MSA, Associate Director, Institute of Word Mission.

Purpose: Understanding to Witness More Effectively
Through hands-on workshops, interactive discussions, and Bible-based teachings, attendees were able to:
- Explore cultural dynamics in mission work
- Learn how to share the Gospel with cultural sensitivity
- Identify invisible barriers to communication
- Develop practical tools for more inclusive service
Pastors, leaders, committed members, or simply the curious—each one left equipped, inspired, and encouraged in their personal mission.
The Mission Continues
This weekend wasn’t the end, but rather a step in an ongoing journey of growth and transformation—so that our message may be biblical and relevant in today’s world.
Because talking about God also means learning to listen and understand others.
